Job Description

A remote Trade Compliance Specialist job is currently available at Belcan. This is a full-time, direct job with full benefits. You will be performing Jurisdiction & Classification of technical data to ensure Trade Compliance in areas like aerospace, aircraft and defense. Prior Export/Trade Jurisdiction and Classification experience is preferred. Candidates will be expected to be able to review and comprehend engineering technical data required to support aerospace and aircraft products and statements of work. The work requires the review of various types of documentation in great quantity and working through a decision-making process to determine the applicable export markings for that document. This entails reviewing the documents independently to determine if the export markings are accurate. If no export markings are present, then determine the correct export classification based on the resources and training guidance provided. * Technical Specialist job duties:

• Read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings
• Gather information to ensure the proper jurisdiction, determination and classification of products
• Perform Jurisdiction and Classification (J&C) in customer systems in accordance with the ITAR and/or EAR of Hardware, Tech Data, Software and Defense Services
• Act as a point of contact, providing assistance with Trade Compliance activities
• Work within a team to perform duties with regular correspondence
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

* Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience with import/export Trade Compliance procedures and regulations
• Professional work experience in an Engineering, Law, or Government Regulation based environment.
• Detail oriented, good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize with changing situations
• Ability to recognize and solve typical problems and select solutions from established options
• Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to drive tasks to completion
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite
• US citizenship required

Preferred: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Law We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $55,000 to $85,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
