Job Title: Surgical Tech – OR Tech
Location: Cooperstown, NY 13326
Duration: 3+ Month Contract (Extendable)
Shift: Day, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Pay Rate: $57.61 (Travel) | $48 (Local)
The Surgical Tech (OR Tech) is an integral member of the operating room team, working under the general supervision of the OR Manager. This role involves close collaboration with surgeons, registered nurses, anesthesiologists, certified nurse anesthetists, and support personnel to ensure safe and efficient surgical procedures.
ResponsibilitiesScrub and prepare for surgical cases in compliance with protocols.
Handle instruments, supplies, medications, media, and specimens.
Manage and organize surgical instrument trays and cases.
Assist with maintaining a sterile environment to ensure patient safety.
Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to support positive outcomes.
Certified Surgical Technician (CST) credential required.
Active BLS (AHA) certification required.
Prior experience in an operating room setting strongly preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow sterile procedures.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
