Main Responsibilities of a Cleaner/Janitor:

• Keep buildings in a clean condition
• All housekeeping activities including room prep and refresh
• Keeps food storage areas and refrigerators clean, secure, and orderly
• Perform all heavy-duty cleaning
• Perform regular maintenance activities
• Engage in repair activities when needed

Housekeeping:

We are looking for an experienced Housekeeper to fill a part time/ on call part of our staff. We are hoping to find a reliable and skilled person who understands the importance that the role housekeeping plays in an organization/ room turn over.

The person we would like to give this opportunity to should have strong communication skills, be able to prioritize tasks, and poses both a proactive and reactive mindset. We like to keep our environment tidy and very well-organized, we expect from our future housekeeping to take complete responsibility for helping us achieve this.

Responsibilities of a Housekeeper:

• Cleaning building floors (vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, sweeping)
• Gathering and emptying indoor trash
• Clean, service and resupply restrooms
• Clean windows, mirrors and other glass surfaces
• Engaging in building security and safety activities (checking and locking doors, checking electrical appliance)
• Moving equipment, supplies, and furniture
• Informing managers about required repair and maintenance activities
• Maintaining tools and equipment needed for Cleaner/Janitor duties
• Requiring supplies of the tools and equipment needed for Cleaner/Janitor duties
• Organizing and executing spraying of fumigant and insecticides

Cleaning Job Requirements:

• Must have proven working experience as housekeeper
• Must know and follow sanitation procedures
• Must be able to respond and act quickly
• Must have strong communication and multitasking skills
• Must have knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies

The Longhorn Restaurant is the oldest continually operated restaurant in Tombstone. An historical building, The Longhorn Restaurant is located in what used to be the Bucket of Blood Saloon, the Holiday Water Company, and the Owl Cafe and Hotel.
