Job Description

Summary

The Assistant supports the Lead Teacher in our 3-year-old classroom by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children. They must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. The Assistant is responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities and responding to children's needs, under the direction of the Lead Teacher and the Director.

Duties

• Assist in the implementation of activities and support development through positive guidance
• Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to preschool
• Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness
• Keep a healthy work/home life balance for yourself with afternoons free!

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience caring for children in a professional or volunteer capacity
• Ability to work well with others
• Patient and self-motivated
