Job Description

500 Global is a venture capital firm deploying capital across early-stage accelerators to growth investments, with a global footprint spanning 80+ countries. As part of the Global Investment Team, you’ll contribute to the firm’s mission of uplifting founders and economies through entrepreneurship. You’ll work alongside experienced investors, participate in deal sourcing and evaluation, and help translate market signals into actionable insights that inform investment decisions. The role blends rigorous financial analysis with strategic thinking, across a portfolio of startups and growth-stage opportunities, within a fast-paced, globally connected team.

This is a fully in-person position based in our Palo Alto office. The role requires being onsite Monday through Friday.

What You’ll Do

• Identify and evaluate promising startups across markets and sectors, with a focus on scalable business models and compelling value propositions.
  
• Support deal execution by building financial models, assessing business plans, and preparing investment memos for internal review and partner discussions.
  
• Research emerging industries, map ecosystems, analyze competitive landscapes, and help identify clear investment themes and theses.
  
• Monitor portfolio performance, track KPIs, and surface actionable insights to help portfolio companies grow and succeed.
  
• Develop dashboards and automate reporting; partner with Data and IT teams to improve analytics systems and data governance.
  
• Maintain databases of startups, co-investors, and follow-on financing opportunities to strengthen deal intelligence and collaboration across the network.
  

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  
• Two+ years of experience in a high-growth startup, consulting, strategy, or finance role.
  
• A curious, analytical, and entrepreneurial mindset that spots trends before others do.
  
• A bias for action, with a proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable approach.
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  
• High integrity and discretion with the ability to handle confidential information.
  
• A team-first attitude and humility that make you an outstanding culture fit.
  
• Experience programming
  
• Comfortable with AI tools
  

Desirable Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience as a founder or co-founder of a startup.
• Experience as an early startup employee
