Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelors degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Agile experience preferred.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: : Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities for this Position

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a software engineer for General Dynamics Mission Systems in Quincy, MA, youll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing and developing state-of-the-art applications for unmanned undersea vehicles. You will work on software encompassing the full life cycle of these systems, from embedded control code to GUI-based topside tools for planning and monitoring missions.

  • User interface Web Development experience is a plus.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a development team.
  • Linux and Windows experience is highly desirable; hardware experience is a plus.
