Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board! **Why you'll love this job** + ​This job is a member of the Payroll Operations team within the Finance Division. + Responsible for timely and accurate processing of assigned employee payroll checks including collection, review, input, edit, output and verification of payroll data. **What you'll do** _As noted above, this list is intended to reflect the current job but there may be additional essential functions (and certainly non-essential job functions) that are not referenced. Management will modify the job or require other tasks be performed whenever it is deemed appropriate to do so, observing, of course, any legal obligations including any collective bargaining obligations._ + Processes payroll data accurately by the required deadline + Consistently applies company policy and government regulations to all processing + Maintains the security and confidentiality of all payroll related information + Reviews audit reports for accuracy and requests corrections as necessary + Researches team member inquiries and provides solutions as required in a timely manner + Knowledgeable of labor agreements and applicable processing requirements to specific workforce groups, such as unions + Organizes and maintains records utilizing special processing that reduces the occurrences of incorrect payments to employees + Adheres to existing SOX processing maps and requirements + Assists in special projects, system testing, and other duties as assigned + Provides training and updates documentation as needed + Supports the successful completion of all banking inbound and outbound ACH and check payment files as needed + Communicates all discrepancies to payroll supervisor or department timekeeper as necessary **All you'll need for success** **Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience** + ​High School diploma or GED equivalent or equivalent training/experience + 3 years of working in a high volume, multi-state payroll department **Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience** + Experience with payroll systems (SAP preferred) **Skills, Licenses & Certifications** + ​Above average customer experience and organizational skills + Ability to work as a team player in a high stress environment + Use of analytical skills to identify and address potential issues + Ability to explain and interpret complex payroll information to employees at all levels of the organization + Skilled in Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Excel, Word) **What you'll get** Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer: + Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
