Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Clerk II

Location : Colorado Springs, CO 80915

Duration : 6 months contract

Shift: M-F 7:00 AM 3:30 PM with occasional extensions to 5:30 PM to ensure job completion, and some Saturdays as needed.

Payrate: XX18 XX.

Schedule:

MANAGER NOTES (Key Focus Areas):
We are specifically looking for candidates with:

• Heavy forklift experience (large equipment handling, not just small-scale warehouse use).
• Packaging experience with large and heavy equipment.
• Experience in flatbed and van full truckload planning is highly desirable.
• Please note: Experience limited to UPS/FedEx/Amazon small package handling is not aligned with this role.

The role:

The Shipper will be responsible for handling, preparation, and all details pertaining to shipping various products, under minimum supervision. This includes loading cargo onto/into various types of trucks, coordinating shipments, and ensuring products are properly packaged and secured for transport.

Core responsibilities:

• To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
• Ship products in accordance with shipping orders, completing bills of lading and other required documentation.
• Wrap and secure materials in shipping containers using appropriate packing materials, ensuring products are properly protected.
• Interpret packing specifications and calculate container sizes and dimensions from drawings or equipment measurements.
• Select correct barrier and cushioning materials, and determine required hardware (nails, nuts, bolts, etc.).
• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently to move, load, and stage shipments.

Qualifications:

• 3 5 years of relevant shipping/packaging experience, ideally with large and heavy equipment.
• Proven forklift experience (certification strongly preferred).
• Strong knowledge of shipping methods and truckload planning.
• Reliability and consistent attendance are critical to success in this role
