Job Description

BridgePhase is a software engineering company focused on designing, building, securing, and operating cutting-edge software solutions that drive mission success and operational excellence for Federal Government organizations. Our mission is to empower our clients and employees to realize their potential, achieve amazing results, and advance the mission of our Federal government. We do this by providing an environment that fosters the growth, innovation, collaboration, and delivery excellence needed to achieve successful and lasting transformative IT modernization. With BridgePhase, federal agencies gain a trusted partner dedicated to delivering high-performing solutions that advance the nation's most critical objectives.

We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer to join our team supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The ideal candidate will lead comprehensive test and verification efforts for a complex Drupal-based solution that involves migrating existing SharePoint data to cloud infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in both content management system testing and data migration validation, combined with strong leadership skills to guide testing strategy and execution. The position demands a thorough understanding of federal security requirements and cloud compliance standards. This is a remote position with occasional on-site requirements.

In this position, you can expect to:
  • Lead end-to-end test strategy and execution for Drupal-based content management solutions
  • Design and implement comprehensive test plans for SharePoint to cloud data migration processes
  • Develop automated testing frameworks for data integrity validation and system performance
  • Lead test case development covering functional, integration, performance, and security testing
  • Support coordination of user acceptance testing with federal stakeholders and end users
  • Support the establishment of data validation protocols to ensure migration accuracy and completeness
  • Perform comprehensive testing of security controls
  • Lead defect triage and resolution processes with development teams
  • Create and maintain detailed test documentation and reporting for federal compliance
  • Collaborate with developers, system administrators, and security teams on test requirements
  • Execute performance testing to validate system scalability and response times
  • Conduct security testing aligned with federal standards and compliance requirements
  • Lead regression testing efforts throughout iterative development cycles
  • Coordinate with DevOps teams on continuous integration and automated testing pipelines
  • Interface with project stakeholders on test progress, risks, and quality metrics
As with any technical environment, the exact role responsibilities will evolve with the changing needs of our client. We are looking for versatile candidates who thrive on new challenges and can readily adapt to additional responsibilities beyond those listed above.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
  • At least 8 years of total professional experience with 6+ years in software testing and 4+ years leading test engineering efforts
  • Strong expertise in and experience with:
    • Content management system and data migration testing and validation methodologies
    • Test case design and execution management and agile testing methodologies and practices
    • Test automation frameworks and tools leveraging continuous integration and automated testing pipelines
    • Performance and load testing strategies
    • API testing and web services validation
    • Database testing and data integrity verification
    • Test documentation and reporting standards
    • Federal compliance testing (FedRAMP, FISMA)
    • User acceptance testing coordination
    • Defect management and tracking systems
    • Accessibility testing and compliance (Section 508)
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • Lead complex testing initiatives across multiple workstreams
    • Develop comprehensive test strategies for enterprise applications
    • Communicate testing progress and quality metrics to stakeholders
    • Balance manual and automated testing approaches effectively
    • Coordinate testing activities across distributed teams
    • Identify and mitigate testing risks proactively
  • Testing certifications (ISTQB, CSTE, 508 Trusted Tester) strongly preferred
  • Past experience leveraging the Cypress framework in a test environment
  • Experience using tools such as Apache JMeter for testing
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure) a bonus

While we've outlined our ideal candidate, we recognize that talent comes in many forms. If you don't check every box but possess strong testing expertise, experience with content management systems, and a drive to ensure quality in complex migrations, we strongly encourage you to apply. We value professionals who demonstrate analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a solid foundation in testing methodologies.
