This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Software Engineer - Backend Platform (Datalake) in the United States.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to design and enhance backend data infrastructure for a high-performance data platform serving blockchain network data at scale. The Senior Software Engineer will build and maintain backend data indexing services, ensuring fast and reliable data coverage across multiple clients. You will collaborate closely with product managers, API engineers, and SRE teams to deliver performant APIs and scalable solutions. The role emphasizes clean code practices, observability, and production-grade cloud deployments while contributing to a collaborative, remote-friendly, and innovative engineering environment. You will have the chance to influence platform architecture, mentor peers, and work on cutting-edge Web3 and blockchain technologies.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, build, and enhance backend data indexing services for broad blockchain network coverage.
  • Develop performant APIs and backend services to support web, mobile, and extension clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, DevSecOps, and SRE, to deliver high-quality features.
  • Maintain and improve performance, stability, and observability of existing and new services.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in software development.
  • Contribute to cloud deployment strategies, automation, and monitoring using production-grade AWS tooling.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure operational reliability of production services.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in backend software development for production applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Golang, SQL, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with messaging systems such as NATS or Kafka.
  • Familiarity with blockchain fundamentals, including EVM and equivalent networks, and indexing blockchain data.
  • Experience building high-performance APIs and serving data at scale.
  • Knowledge of observability metrics and monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Hands-on experience with production-grade cloud deployments, especially AWS.
  • Agile development experience and adherence to clean code practices, testing, and coding standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to work autonomously.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with non-EVM blockchains.
  • Deep knowledge of Ethereum execution clients and smart contract standards.
  • Previous experience in Web3 infrastructure or decentralized technologies.
  • Understanding of cryptography principles.
  • Experience working in distributed or remote teams.
