Position Summary...

The Senior Manager, Controllership, leads the preparation and oversight of annual budgets, financial reporting, and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role drives business plans by analyzing financial data, managing accounting operations, and fostering collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The position also emphasizes team development through coaching and performance management while upholding company policies and ethical standards. What you'll do...

About the Team:

The Global Consolidations and Close team ensures the accurate and timely consolidation of Walmart’s financial statements each month-end close. Key responsibilities include intercompany eliminations, cash flow reporting, and investment/equity accounting. The team collaborates closely with market and segment stakeholders to provide strategic guidance and operational support across a broad-range of financial areas. This group plays a vital role in maintaining financial integrity and delivering insights that support informed decision-making throughout the organization.

What You'll Do:

• Manage the preparation and review of annual budgets for Finance and support departments, providing recommendations for final approval.
• Oversee financial reporting, balance sheet accounts, and audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley Act and other regulatory requirements through consistent policy application.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team by providing coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
• Drive execution of business plans by identifying needs, removing obstacles, and measuring progress.
• Promote ethical standards, integrity, and company values in all activities.

What You'll Bring:

• Extensive experience in financial management, including budget preparation, analysis, and consolidation for senior leadership review.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
• Proven ability to oversee financial audits, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
• Expertise in analyzing financial data, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring regulatory compliance including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work cross-functionally and with external stakeholders.
• Commitment to ethical standards, integrity, and continuous improvement in financial operations.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Minimum Qualifications...
