Job Description

Lamers Bus Lines is now hiring a school bus office assistant for part time work during route times.This position will answer phones, assist parents and customers, and communicate with drivers over two-way radio. Computer skills are needed to assist with routing and charter changes. Great personality and customer service skills are also required. Hours available are 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and/or 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. during the school year.Additional hours may be available outside of route times and during summer to those who are interested.

Job duties:

• Answer incoming calls. Handle if able to, or direct to correct department.
• Communicate with drivers on daily basis. Provide route and charter information and maintain a good relationship with drivers.
• Check in drivers and work with two-way radio during route times and throughout the day. Relay messages to drivers and handle concerns.

Requirements:

• Listen to customer needs and be able to provide the help the caller needs or direct the caller to the appropriate department. A polite, professional voice is important, along with good work ethic.
• Daily usage of computer, keyboard and printer is required.
