Location: Auburn, Massachusetts We are a growing wholesale distributor of frozen foods and grocery products, supplying to independent stores, supermarkets, and restaurants. We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Area Sales Manager to lead our sales team, expand our client base, and strengthen our presence across key markets. Lead sales operations across the assigned territory and ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets are achieved. New Jersey Local, including Edison, Princeton, Connecticut, & others. Every Friday or bi-weekly Friday, may be required to fly to other states (GA, Chicago, TX, Maryland, VA, or others), with occasional overnight stays. (Company covers flight, hotel accommodations, meals, and related business expenses.) Develop and implement area sales and marketing strategies aligned with company goals. Actively prospect and acquire new restaurant and retail clients through market visits. Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with clients, vendors, and strategic partners. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms within company guidelines to secure business. Coordinate with stores for in-store promotions, product sampling, and special campaigns to increase visibility and sales. Ensure timely communication with clients regarding orders, delivery schedules, product changes, or feedback. Oversee the collection of outstanding payments and support the finance team in ensuring timely receivables. Occasionally deliver samples or products to customers when required. Represent the company at trade shows, community events, and industry networking opportunities. Carry out any other duties assigned by management to support business growth. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business preferred. 3–5 years of experience in B2B and B2C sales, preferably in food distribution, FMCG, or wholesale. Proven experience managing sales teams and coordinating across departments. Experience handling restaurants, grocery, or wholesale accounts strongly preferred. Preferred Skills: Strong knowledge of food products commonly used in the restaurant industry. Familiarity with CRM or ERP systems (e.g., SAGE, EANTREE) for managing accounts and sales. Comfortable using Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis. Existing network within the restaurant/foodservice industry is a strong plus. Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle a fast-paced environment.
