Job Description

This position supports the company by monitoring and administering driver safety policies, ISO, OSHA and DOT programs and training. This position provides daily tactical support to all employees by assisting in inspections, providing guidance, and training on safety issues and regulations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules
• Ensures completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting
• Stops operations and activities that could harm employees or equipment
• Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems
• Conducts employee training on applicable safety standards
• Reviews safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates
• Leads weekly safety meetings and toolbox talks
• Oversees all safety, compliance and regulations

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certified in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of related experience is preferred
• Certifications preferred: EHS, OSHA, CESCO, ISO, Train the Trainer
• Extensive knowledge of safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in technology and equipment used in construction inspections
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of applicable workers compensation laws, procedures, and regulations
• Extensive knowledge of medical and technical terminology used in workers compensation cases
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills

JOB SHIFT AND SCHEDULE:

• This is a full-time position in Sioux Falls, SD
• Typical working hours between 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
