Pay Rate: $2,360 Weekly Gross
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic healthcare team in Fort Myers, FL. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing high-acuity obstetric patients , providing exceptional care through all stages of labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivering, and postpartum patients in a high-acuity setting.
Monitor maternal and fetal conditions, interpret data, and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and emergency obstetric procedures .
Administer medications, including oxytocin, epidural anesthesia, and other prescribed treatments.
Operate and monitor fetal monitoring systems ; accurately interpret and document fetal heart rate patterns.
Provide patient education and emotional support to mothers and families throughout the birthing process.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, compassionate, and effective patient care.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control standards.
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Degree accreditation required).
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – Valid in the state of Florida or compact eligible.
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – Required.
AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring – Required.
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring – Required.
Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Certification – Preferred.
