Key responsibilities

As a Pool Attendant you will be responsible of Pool operations and F&B for the Pool/Bar area. Making sure guest needs and requests are responded in a timely and professional manner to ensure customer satisfaction under the guidance of the Operation Supervisor.

  • Ensures that guests are served in accordance to State and local guidelines regarding the service of alcohol.
  • Prepares and services beverages for guests in a quick, efficient and friendly manner.
  • Maintain the operational set-up and break-down of the Pool area.
  • Provide towel and material service to each customer in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Extend a courteous, friendly, and professional greeting to guests as they arrive, and to thank them as they depart.
  • Performs proper cash, comp, and check control procedures.
  • Takes inventory of the bar on a regular basis.
  • Provides guests with accurate information about the hotel and property as well as entertainment offered in each as needed.
  • Works with a sense of urgency to anticipate guest and team members needs when the opportunity arises.
  • Communicates with management, and service staff immediately to rectify any and all guest needs and requests.
  • Ensures work area is in compliance with the Florida health codes at all times.
  • Follows Yurbban Inventory Control requirements
  • Keeps all stations stocked by polishing and distributing china, glassware, and silverware.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a customer-focused, professional, and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Previous experience in a hotel or resort is preferred but not mandatory. The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Strong customer service skills with a guest-first mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Familiarity with front desk operations and phone systems is advantageous.
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
  • Physical stamina to lift heavy luggage and stand for extended periods.
  • Availability to work 8-hour shifts (morning, evening, and night shifts available), weekends and holidays required.

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent desired.
  • Understand the operational set up and principle of the Pool lounge and bar.
  • Knowledge of pouring drinks and creating menus within the hotel.
  • One to two years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Responsible for taking guests orders for in Pool Area.

Schedule : This position requires fully availability during mornings and afternoons, shift of 8 hours could be arranged between 6:00 am to 12:00 am, weekends required.

Work Location: Miami South Beach, FL.

Physical Demands: Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed, based upon business volumes Prolonged periods of being stand and lifting 15 pounds or more

Work Authorization: Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
