Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Payroll Admin! Dahl Consulting is currently partnering with a leading multi-faceted company. We work one-on-one with great candidates to help connect them with local employment opportunities. This company is hiring a Payroll Admin for a part-time, contract position! Interested?   • Worksite Location: Willmar, MN
  • Work Schedule: 16 hours a week, 20-24 hours 1 week per month
  • Compensation: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
  • 4-6 month Contract position
What you’ll do as the Payroll Admin:
  • Play a key role in the review and compilation of payroll data and timekeeping systems data via employees, managers, timecards, and records
  • Handle employee payroll deductions, including understanding proper taxation of employee-paid benefits and ensuring deductions are set up correctly
  • Process garnishments, which include child support, tax levies, student loans, and WRIT of garnishments
  • Process monthly billings from benefit providers, reviewing for accuracy, proper coding, and issuing of payments
  • Perform various journal entries, account and invoice reconciliations, and provide general ledger support, including creating journal entries, invoices, reports, and balancing of accounts
  • Organize and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings for federal and state entities
  • Research, analyze, and resolve employee payroll issues effectively and in a professional manner
  • Audit wage computations and correct errors to ensure the accuracy of payroll
  • Recommend and participate in the development of new procedures and policies related to payroll operations, utilizing knowledge of company, state, and federal policies and regulations
What you’ll bring to the Payroll Admin role:
  • 2+ years or more of payroll-related experience
  • Strong understanding of payroll systems, principles, and processes, including experience with filing payroll taxes
