Job Description

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive Construction Office Assistant who knows the ins and outs of the construction industry. If you have experience with permits, estimates, subcontractors, and job coordination , this is a great opportunity to join a growing company with long-term potential.

This part-time role offers flexibility now and the opportunity to grow into a full-time position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pulling permits and preparing complete permit packets.
• Assist with preparing and reviewing project estimates.
• Ordering materials and coordinating deliveries for active jobs.
• Follow up with clients regarding schedules, approvals, and project updates.
• Communicate and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Collect, organize, and maintain all subcontractor paperwork (contracts, insurance, licenses, W-9s, etc.).
• Tracking permits, inspections, and project documentation.
• Supporting day-to-day construction office operations.

Qualifications:

• Construction office experience required.
• Familiarity with local permitting processes.
• Experience preparing estimates and ordering materials.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Clear, professional communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace (JOIST construction software a plus).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with subcontractors and vendors.
• Familiarity with permit portals and municipal requirements.
• Basic understanding of construction plans and scopes of work.

The majority of our work is interior, kitchens and bathrooms, flooring, doors, and trim work. This role requires an ambitious self-starter who is proficient in various remodeling/construction trades and finishes work and is motivated to learn new skills and products. Hands-on training is provided where needed, here at Precision we want everyone to be just as skilled as the next.
