Job Description: Mud Plant Operator

Position Title: Operator
Location: WNS Mud Plant
Reports To: Lead Operator

Position Overview: The mud plant operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the mud plant facility. Operators are expected to have some prior experience and knowledge of drilling fluids or similar plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform drilling fluid mixing and transfer operations including but not limited to:
• Piping line ups between pits, tanks, and trucks
• Operating mix equipment, lifting equipment, and loader
• Adding product based on provided mix design
2. General duties as assigned including but not limited to:
• Cleaning
• Removing trash
3. Perform maintenance and inspections of facility equipment
4. Perform Task Hazard Assessment or Job Safety Analysis for all work and take corrective actions to mitigate risk and hazards

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior oilfield experience in a similar capacity
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Certified forklift operator or ability to obtain certification
• Ability to read, write, correspond and comprehend instructions in the English language
• Ability to read and understand equipment operating & maintenance manuals
• Understanding of P&IDs and process flow diagrams
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs overhead

Working Conditions:

• Alpine, North Slope based 2 week on / 2 week off rotation
• 12-1/2 hour work shifts
