West Point Public Schools is seeking an innovative, student-centered Middle School Principal to lead our grades 5–8 building. West Point serves approximately 770 students districtwide, including 207 students in grades 5–8.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative instructional leader who is committed to academic excellence, capable of building strong relationships, and dedicated to fostering a positive, inclusive school culture that supports the success of every student.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead staff in effective instructional practices and data-driven decision-making
- Promote a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
- Build strong relationships with students, families, staff, and the community
- Evaluate, mentor, and support staff development
- Support implementation of district initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications
- Valid administrative certification
- Successful teaching and leadership experience preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Must reside within the school district
