This position is IN OFFICE and requires the applicant to live in or commute to St. George, UT each day. Our Multi-Specialty Medical Practice is seeking a Full-Time Medical Billing Specialist. Full-time hours per se is an average of 32-36. Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Responsibilities: • Ensures timely, complete, and accurate submission of billing and invoicing • Records receipts to patient accounts in an accurate and timely manner • A/R Follow up on denied, under, and overpaid claims • Processes charges using a computerized billing system • Performs an audit of appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes for all charges • Identifies corrections for registration • Participates in training to improve knowledge of the billing process • Report any billing problems, issues, or discrepancies to the Billing Manager • Stays current on all family practice and pain medicine coding guidelines and maintains professional licensure and credentials as necessary • Resource for Front Desk Operations with insurance and billing inquiries • Responsible for collections and accounts receivable process • Responsible for answering questions from patients regarding statements • Follow up on overdue accounts and payment posting • Phone coverage for billing-related inquiries • All other duties as assigned by the manager or supervisor Qualifications: • This position is IN OFFICE and requires the applicant to live in or commute to St. George, UT each day • Excellent communication skills • Excellent computer/data entry skills • Detail oriented • 1 Year Medical Coding/Billing preferred • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Professional Biller (CPB) preferred • Experience in Family Practice and/or Pain Medicine preferred • Knowledge of eClinicalWorks is preferred About Company: Hillside Health is a multi-specialty (Family Medicine, Women's Health, Pain Management, Osteopathic Medicine) founded in 2022.
