Responsibilities
The Medical Assistant, performs patient services as requested including phlebotomy, obtaining EKG’s, applying bandages/splints. Perform patient vital signs and other care as needed. Prepares and maintains examination and treatment areas. Prepares patients for examination/procedure. Collects and processes specimens. Applies principles of aseptic technique and infection control. Applies simple dressings and/or ace bandages, and assists with splint/brace application. Performs and documents EKG’s. Performs phlebotomy.
Qualifications
HS Diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant certification/equivalent training or EMT certification required. CPR certification required. ED experience preferred
