EHC is currently looking for a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic for a client in south Houston, TX.
Job Summary:
Performs mechanical duties that require maintenance on all equipment. Also, performs welding duties that pertain to the yard repairs.
Job Requirements:
- Able to inspect and troubleshoot equipment, trucks and tractors (PM Service)
- Familiar with Diesel engines and backhoe equipment
- Rebuild machinery equipment
- Use of pneumatic tools
- Able to read and understand electrical schematics
- Able to read and understand hydraulic schematics
- Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals
- Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Clean mechanic shop
- Wash equipment
- Assist in moving equipment to and from trucks
Physical Requirements:
- Works outdoors in all climates
- Exposed to loud noise, dusty environment
- Able to climb 40 feet and to stoop, bend or kneel in the review and inspection of plant operations and equipment
- Able to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Full mobility of hands
