We are a well-established importer/distributor who is looking for an enthusiastic sales representative to join our growing Chicago team for both on and off premise sales.
The candidate must have a solid history selling both imported and domestic wines. This role requires the complete management of a sales region calling on fine wine restaurants, bars , retailers and some chain accounts. The ideal candidate brings some of their own accounts, increases existing business while prospecting within the assigned territory and targeting new account openings. A competitive nature and genuine passion for the food and beverage industry in general is a recipe for success. We represent established brands from all over the globe at all price points. Skills & Qualifications: • Fine wine sales experience a must. • Must be motivated, organized, self-starter who is able to work independently to achieve sales goals that are clearly outlined each month/year. You will not be micro managed. Requirements: • Valid Illinois driver's license, safe driving record • Reliable transportation to service the sales territory • Proof of insurance on the vehicle is required • Servicing accounts (8-12) daily, requiring driving and getting in and out of the vehicle • Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more • Ability to work the occasional evening or weekend tasting/event • Understanding of wholesale, retail and on-premise pricing and margins • Basic Microsoft Office/Outlook knowledge Compensation: Base pay, Commission + Bonus Car Allowance Medical and dental coverage 401(k) Paid vacation and holidays Perks: Pro travel/annual supplier trip(s) offered Continued education/skills training reimbursement Employment TypeReceive an email alert when similar new jobs are posted.
