Director of Events & Sales Overview
Back Home Hospitality is seeking a Director of Events & Sales to lead and grow our private dining, events, catering, and off-site business across all BHH restaurant properties.
This role has full ownership of events revenue, including marketing strategy, outbound sales, pipeline development, and execution. The Director of Events & Sales oversees and manages all Event Managers across the company, who are responsible for private dining and group dining experiences at each location.
This is a hands-on hospitality leadership role requiring deep experience in restaurants, catering, or hotel F&B, paired with a strong commercial mindset. Candidates must be comfortable building sales strategies while remaining closely involved in execution.
Core Responsibilities: Sales, Marketing & Revenue GrowthReal ownership of revenue: This role owns the private dining, events, and catering business across the entire company—from outbound sales strategy to execution and financial performance. You are not inheriting a static program; you are building and scaling it.
Operator-led organization: Back Home Hospitality is run by hands-on restaurateurs who value execution, systems, and accountability. Decisions are made by people who understand service, kitchens, and the realities of event-driven revenue.
High-profile restaurants and clients: You’ll represent a portfolio of well-regarded, chef-driven concepts with strong brand equity—making outbound sales and relationship-building meaningfully easier.
Multi-venue scale with autonomy: Lead and manage Event Managers across multiple restaurants, with the authority to set standards, pricing discipline, and sales strategy company-wide.
Growth-minded platform: This role is central to expanding a high-margin revenue channel as the company continues to grow, offering meaningful career upside as the events and sales platform scales.
About Back Home HospitalityBack Home Hospitality is a San Francisco–based restaurant group founded on the belief that restaurants are places to connect, not just eat. Since opening Che Fico in 2018, we’ve built a portfolio of chef-driven, ingredient-forward restaurants known for warm hospitality and thoughtful design.
Our concepts include Che Fico, Che Fico Pizzeria, Che Fico Parco Menlo, Via Aurelia, and Bubbelah, with additional projects in development. Our restaurants are polished but approachable, grounded in strong systems, consistent execution, and long-term guest relationships.
We’ve grown deliberately, serving a loyal community that includes leaders in technology, finance, media, and culture. As we expand beyond the Bay Area, we remain focused on building restaurants that last—guided by our core values: substance over flash, generosity over ego, and culture over trend.
