Description
Summary:
Supports the planning and implementation of ScanSource, Inc. customer, supplier, and sales events. Works closely with the Events Team to assist with logistical coordination, communications, and execution of a variety of corporate and partner-related events.
Essential Job Duties
Coordinates logistics for events such as floor days, road shows, and internal corporate gatherings
Assists with pre- and post-show marketing efforts under guidance of manager
Helps organize key event components including vendor coordination, audiovisual needs, setup, and catering
Maintains registration and attendee databases; manages RSVP tracking and event reporting
Supports purchasing activities and works with vendors as needed
Tracks and monitors event budgets; escalates approvals to Event Manager
Contributes to creative development and execution of communication materials with team input
Collaborates with Events Team on timelines, planning milestones, and deliverables
Executes assigned tasks with attention to detail and quality control standards
Communicates professionally with vendors, internal stakeholders, and attendees
Other duties as assigned
Regular attendance is an essential function of the Event Coordinator position
Reporting Relationships
Reports to Event Manager and/or Manager of Events Team
Contact with vendors, customers, suppliers, co-workers and executive management
Requirements
High school diploma required
Event planning experience required
Preferred
College degree in marketing
Proficiency in foreign language (Spanish, Portuguese, French, German)
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit at a computer terminal for long periods of time
Ability to be physically in attendance at workstation at designated company office location during normal business hours designated for the position
Ability to travel 10 % of the time.
Ability to lift 10 pounds.
Physical lifting and moving of boxes and show materials
Compensation
Compensation Range: $50,000 - $60,000
Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer. This position is not eligible for a variable pay component as part of the hiring range.
