Job Description for Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Emergency Department for patients experiencing acute medical conditions.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in accordance with established standards and protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care.
• Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and perform necessary medical procedures.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and prioritize patient needs accordingly.
• Document nursing care and patient progress in electronic health records accurately and efficiently.
• Educate patients and families on health management, treatment plans, and preventative care.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to nursing practice development and improvement initiatives.

Essential Qualifications:

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Licensure: Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of California.
• CPR Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Desired Experience:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, specifically in an Emergency Department setting.
• Proficiency in critical care nursing practices and emergency response protocols.
• Experience with electronic medical record systems is preferred.
