Alpha School is seeking educators prepared to reshape early childhood learning. Our model moves beyond conventional teaching—you'll serve as a facilitator and coach, guiding Kindergarten through 2nd-grade students as they explore individualized learning journeys built on curiosity and perseverance.
Our approach centers on the 2-Hour Learning program, which leverages AI-powered adaptive technology to deliver personalized education at scale. Students engage with advanced software while receiving direct, hands-on instruction in reading and writing from educators trained in evidence-based educational science. What You Will Be Doing
• Guiding students in setting and reaching individual learning objectives, cultivating self-directed learning habits.
• Delivering focused instruction in foundational literacy and social-emotional competencies, working alongside Reading Specialists.
• Creating a classroom atmosphere that promotes curiosity and resilience through hands-on, interactive learning activities.
• Leveraging AI-driven educational tools to improve learning outcomes and prepare students for technology-enhanced education.
• Partnering with educators and counselors to address each student's distinct learning profile, adjusting methods to fit individual needs and preferences.

Using outdated teaching methods without incorporating modern educational technology.
Applying uniform instructional strategies—our model celebrates and supports individual learning differences.
Prioritizing academic instruction at the expense of social and emotional growth.
Early Childhood Educator Key Responsibilities
Lead the cultivation of independent learning skills and personal development for Kindergarten through 2nd-grade students, establishing a foundation for lifelong educational achievement and growth.
Basic Requirements
• Available to work on-site at one of our campuses: Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Tampa, FL; or Scottsdale (Phoenix), AZ.
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years working with children ages 4 - 8 years old in educational, afterschool, sports, or similar environments.
• Demonstrated ability to apply growth mindset principles and high-performance coaching techniques.
• Eager to integrate AI and other technologies into educational practice.
• Authorized to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice-to-have Requirements
The following qualifications strengthen your candidacy, but you should apply if you meet the core requirements above:
• Degree or certification in early childhood education, child development, reading intervention, or a related discipline.
• Professional credentials or specialized training in early learning approaches such as CDA, Montessori, or Reggio Emilia.
• Background as a K-2 teacher, literacy specialist, or reading coach with formal training or professional development in phonics and reading frameworks.
• Previous work in environments focused on personalized learning and technology-driven education.

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
