Community Engagement Coordinator s erves to oversee the recruitment, engagement, and retention of volunteers for the Rescue Mission. In addition, this position will represent the Rescue Mission at a variety of community events as well as assist with internal special events.
Reports to: Director of Development Hours of Availability: Full-Time (hourly)
Monday – Friday, typically 8am – 5:00pm with hours adjusted to meet the needs of the role . Evenings and weekends as scheduled Compensation : DOE

- Demonstrated attention to detail/strong organizational skills to assist with multiple daily assignments and special projects.

Job Specific Qualifications: - Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office, Gmail, and Google Calendars.
- Exemplify creative ways to accomplish goals.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
Career Summary (not all-inclusive list): The Community Engagement Coordinator wears many hats to ensure the Mission guests and participants receive a quality level of service. Serves to engage and develop relationships with interdepartmental teams, the community-at-large, and faith-based community. Attends events and activities to promote and represent the Rescue Mission. Works to recruit, train, and retain volunteers to meet the organizations’ needs. Effective and timely communication with team members affected by events and volunteer engagement. Facilitate and lead volunteer groups in various projects. Special Events project team member to assist with organizing and implementing Drumstick Dash, Thanksgiving and Christmas Feasts and Volunteer Appreciation among other events.
All team members may be asked to complete other duties as assigned by leadership/management with an expectation to complete these assignments as requested. Physical demands essential to performing the job duties of this position (not an all-inclusive list).
