Provides IC data management support to modernize mega data repositories, dataflow management, data provenance and compliance validation, and streaming solutions.

About The Role

Peraton is looking for a Cloud Software Engineer to augment the existing dataflow team for a large analytic cloud repository. This position is located in Laurel, MD. The selected candidate will work with the team providing Data Flow Management for Data Distribution (DDS) Team. This is an on-call position. The candidate must have prior data flow/or NiFi flow engineering experience. Experience with data government (DMRs, DLMS, DSW, DART) processes, and security and compliance as it relates to data handling and access control and the catalog labelling process is highly desired.

Basic Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required
• Eight (8) years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or in a related technical field is required; An additional four (4) years of experience can be considered over the degree
  • NOTE: A degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar degree will be considered as a technical field.
• One of the following certifications required:
  • AWS Certified Developer-Associate
  • AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
  • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
  • Elastic Certified Engineer

Details

Target Salary Range: $190,000 - $304,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
