As a Cloud Economics Cost Optimization Specialist, you will be a subject matter expert providing critical insights into the economic implications of cloud computing. With an emphasis on understanding and optimizing cloud infrastructure costs, you'll help guide our clients on their cloud journey, from migration to achieving optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and ROI.

  • Cloud Cost Analysis: Understand and analyze cloud infrastructure costs in both private and public environments. This includes evaluating hardware, software, services, and maintenance costs.
  • Public Cloud Cost Modeling: Assess costs associated with IAAS, PAAS, serverless, and network bandwidth on public cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure.
  • Cloud Migration Costing: Highlight potential application migration costs, ensuring the least resistance in inter-cloud migrations and future-proofing application designs.
  • Operations and DevOps Expense Analysis: Understand operational expenses in both public and private cloud environments, leveraging Azure tools like Azure Log Analytics and Azure Pipelines.
  • TCO Calculations: Utilize tools like the Azure TCO Calculator to give clients a clear understanding of their 5-year projected costs when migrating from private to public cloud environments.
Basic Qualifications:
  • 1 year of experience in Cloud Economics, Accounting or Finance with large Cloud Platforms, Azure, Google, or AWS
  • 1 year of Sales, Customer Service or Account Management
  • 1 year experience in sales/customer success in SMB or Enterprise space

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
  • Proficiency in cloud cost models, understanding of both CapEx and OpEx cloud cost structures.
  • Experience with Azure tools like Azure TCO Calculator and Azure Pricing Calculator.
  • Familiarity with cloud migration, TCO, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Proficiency in cloud cost models, understanding of both CapEx and OpEx cloud cost structures.

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below.
