This individual will oversee the delivery of high quality, safe, innovative, efficient clinical care at the MCNL campus, UIHC’s new Orthopedic Hospital and affiliated clinics.

The ACMO role will afford the successful candidate the opportunity to be part of the nationally recognized UIHC, which currently boasts revenues of more than $3.5 billion and is the only comprehensive academic medical center in Iowa. The ACMO is primarily responsible for planning, directing and monitoring the integration of clinical operations to ensure the implementation of patient/family-centered care that is cost-effective, and quality-driven throughout MCNL and for the transitions between MCNL and UIHC main campus and the health system’s referring partners. This leadership position provides the opportunity to build a patient-centered quality and safety program and to work with leadership to develop workflows that lead to operational excellence.

Appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor and may be on either the Clinical or Tenure Track.
