1:1 School Nurse Job Description: 

• 1:1 Nurse (LPN): School-Based.
• Contract through the 25/26 school year – 30 hours per week.
• Contract follows the academic district calendar.

Salary:

• $1,050–$1,350/week.

1:1 School Nurse (LPN) Requirements:

• Current LPN or RN license in the state of Washington.
• Have or able to get Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certificate – temporary certificates are available as well.
• Experience with G-tube and suctioning preferred.
• School or pediatric experience a plus.
• Current First Aid or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR/BLS) certification.
• Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.

1:1 School Nurse (LPN) Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct 1:1 nursing care during school hours.
• Manage G-tube feedings and medications.
• Perform suctioning and monitor respiratory needs.
• Assist with mobility and positioning.
• Monitor student’s condition and respond to emergencies.
• Document care provided and follow IHP/doctor's orders.
• Communicate with staff, family, and healthcare team as needed.
